Between now and the 2007 NFL Draft, THN will be taking a look at all of the NFL teams\u2019 off-season needs. Up next is the team with the sixteenth overall pick in the draft, the Green Bay Packers.<\/p>\n

2006 Season Recap:<\/b><\/p>\n
The Packers played 2006 not knowing if it would be quarterback Brett Favre\u2019s final year. They were a very young and inexperienced team and were not expected to put up a big season. The Packers won their final four games to finish with an 8-8 record; not bad considering the amount of unproven talent on the roster. Potential free agent Ahman Green ran for his 6th career 1,000 yard season while wide receivers Donald Driver and rookie Greg Jennings provided Favre with a talented tandem. With the news of Favre returning for his 17th NFL season in 2007, the offense can continue to learn from his veteran leadership but it hinders the progress of 2005 first rounder Aaron Rodgers, who continues to wait in the wings.<\/p>\n
Team Needs:<\/b><\/p>\n
1. Running Back \u2013 If starter Ahman Green can\u2019t get a new deal, then this position will become priority number one considering Vernand Morency is second on the depth chart. The team could look for a young running back even if Green is re-signed.<\/p>\n
2. Wide Receiver \u2013Driver finished fifth in the league in receiving yards and Jennings was the third best rookie wide receiver in the league. The team could use a young star to help bear the load when the 32-year old Driver eventually departs. There has been talk that Favre has been trying to convince the Packers to obtain Oakland Raiders receiver Randy Moss.<\/p>\n
3. Tight End \u2013 Bubba Franks had his worst season as a pro and his backups David Martin and Donald Lee don\u2019t seem to be much of an improvement at the position, either.<\/p>\n
