New York Jets<\/font><\/p>\n 2005 Results: <\/b> 4-12, 4th in AFC – East 2005 Season Recap: <\/b><\/p>\n The Jets had a rough 2005. The began the year full of hope and confidence, but that confidence never came to fruition, as Chad Pennington spent most of the season injured. He came back too early from his rotator cuff injury, and was ineffective until re-injuring him self – albeit a different injury in the same rotator cuff – last September.<\/p>\n Team Needs: <\/b><\/p>\n 1. Defensive End: Now that John Abraham was finally been traded, the Jets will need to replace him with a playmaker. Hopefully for their sake, one that comes with a little less baggage.<\/p>\n 2. Quarterback: The Jets discovered last season, that their quarterback position was not as sound as they originally thought. The Jets traded for Patrick Ramsey, and with Chad Pennington coming off another arm injury, they will likely try to move up to the number two spot to try and snag Matt Leinart.<\/p>\n 3. Outside Linebacker: The Jets have one of the best young linebackers in the game in the middle in Jonathan Vilma. The problem is that he is the only real playmaker they have.
