Some of the names left off the list are impressive albeit they are not household names, but some of them have legitimate shots at making it at the next level. These players will have to hope that they showcased themselves well enough during the season and all star bowl games.

1. MLB Grant Wiley, West Virginia
This guy could eventually be a better linebacker than several who are at the combine. He benefited from a very strong senior campaign. Lacks the size and speed of the elite linebackers, but he makes up for it with his intangibles: smarts, leadership skills, and experience.

2. QB Ryan Dinwiddie, Boise State
Mr. Quarterback Efficiency. A fantastic player with great field vision, a good release, and a big arm. He suffers from a numbers game in that several ahead of him have gotten more hype and thus got the invite to the combine.

3. DT Brandon Kennedy, North Texas
A very fun player to watch. He lacks great height, but plays with a motor. He is very strong and fills the middle much like a Ted Washington.

4. DE Raheem Orr, Rutgers
A great athlete with tons of potential. Played himself into a legitimate draft prospect with a stellar senior season. Unfortunately, the NFL brass isn’t buying into him. Still should have been invited to Indianapolis.

5. QB Matt Kegel, Washington State
A big armed quarterback who has ideal NFL measurables. Lacks speed but could have benefited from a strong showing at the Combine. Could end up being a nice find in the free agent market.

6. OLB Pasha Jackson, Oklahoma
Undersized and appears to lack athleticism. Despite that he is smart player who is very strong and productive. Hits like a truck.

7. RB Jamal Lord, Nebraska
Will definitely be a transformation project, going from quarterback in college to most certainly a running back. He should have the opportunity to show his incredible speed.

8. MLB Roderick Royal, McNeese State
A transfer from Florida has flown under the radar at McNeese State. Tons of athleticism, strength and can dominate at times by blowing up offenses in the backfield.

9. LS Danny Young, North Carolina State
Yeah, he is a long snapper. But ask the Giants how important a good long snapper is. This kid is the best available and should be in Indianapolis.

10. RB Brandon Miree, Pittsburgh
Good back between the tackles but can’t seem to rid himself of the injury bug. Lacks speed but is strong and picks up yards after first hit.

11. OT Chris Colmer, North Carolina State
Big, strong tackle who doesn’t give much ground. Has major concerns surrounding his ability to stay healthy. Has good technique.

12. OLB Stevie Baggs, Bethune-Cookman
Huge talent from a small school. Could play defensive end and outside linebacker. Very quick and very, very tough. Could be a Cinderella story of the draft.

13. DE Ronald Jones, Southern Mississippi
Intriguing prospect who was the leader of one of the nation’s more underrated defensive lines. Explosive player with above-average size. Lacks build but has the frame to support the “upsizing”. Could be a HUGE steal for a team in need of d-line help. (Redskins?)

14. DE Omar Nazel, USC
Big, hard working prospect with NFL talent. Nazel is a player with the perfect NFL measurables and speed numbers. He has the potential to be a very good player. Another player that could be a steal in free agency. Teams have their eye on this guy and he will be in someone’s training camp.

15. QB Scot Rislov, San Jose State
Undersized quarterback with lots of very good intangibles. He is very smart and has a decent arm much like fellow alum, Jeff Garcia. Lacks the mobility to rank higher in the list of available QB’s.

-The Core (Wingman, Scooter, BossHog)

Edit: This blog was archived in May of 2016 from our original articles database. It was originally posted by Les Barnhart

With the Combine being an “invitation only” party, not all of the prospects will be in attendance.
