Taylor Heinicke got his second career NFL win on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. The way in which he got that second win though, was spectacular.<\/p>\n

Two highlight reel touchdowns in the last five minutes, to steal a win<\/a> at the Mercedes Benz Stadium.<\/p>\n

In Atlanta. Where Heinicke was born and grew up.<\/p>\n

He had a ton of friends and family there to witness it all.<\/p>\n

Heinicke may just have taken a big step in securing the starting quarterback position, beyond Ryan Fitzpatrick’s return from injury.<\/p>\n

The 28-year old quarterback finished the day with three touchdowns, and was 23 of 33 for 290 yards<\/a>. He also had 43 yards rushing on 5 carries.<\/p>\n

Statistics don’t capture the magic of the performance though. Playing Houdini in the pocket until he could make something positive happen – that’s what Heinicke did twice on Sunday.<\/p>\n
