He earned the admiration and love of countless fans and peers alike. His death <a href=\"https:\/\/the-hogs.net\/blogs\/2011\/11\/18\/special-edition-b-mitch-show-tribute-to-sean-taylor\/\">struck fans and teammates<\/a> with the deep sorrow usually reserved for the loss of a family member. God love him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>\u2013 funbunch65<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cI loved watching Sean Taylor square off against T.O. The loudest WR in football seemed to always be silenced after Taylor would smack him in the mouth a couple of times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">It was real treat to watch the man play, a true physical specimen and I think it is safe to say that there will never be another safety in the game like Sean Taylor.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>\u2013 Skinz74<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cSean was the player that Lavar, Heath, etc. never became\u2026a fan adored superstar who made grueling losses bearable by his level of play. I\u2019ll never forget that Eagles game in \u201905\u2026 Our playoff chances were dangling in the wind\u2026 all of a sudden he picks off the pass and dives\/rolls into the endzone. After we won that game, due to a dare, I ran around my neighborhood in nothing but boxers and a redskins flag singing Hail To The Redskins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He loved the game, and you could see it in his face. The determination must have been hidden behind the gleem, because I only remember the smiles. It was infectious\u2026as you could see how his level of play raised the bar for everyone around him. \u201c<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>\u2013 JansenFan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Most of the time, when you hear Sean Taylor\u2019s name, you hear about the monster hits. I was lucky enough to witness a very different side of ST yesterday. My son, Jackson, is a near-six year old that has gained a bit of a reputation as a kid with an uncanny knowledge of Redskins personnel. Just prior to turning two, we bought him a \u2018Skins\u2019 yearbook and he would ask who the players were. Soon, he could name <strong>EVERY<\/strong> player listed inside that guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So\u2026 I was taking Jackson around getting autographs from some of his favorite players and I spied Sean Taylor. Jackson walks up with his book open, sees the 21 jersey and has a freudian slip. He says, \u201cExcuse me Mr. Smoot. Will you please sign my yearbook?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before I can correct him, Taylor says, \u201cI\u2019d be happy to sign your book. What\u2019s your name?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJackson.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taylor says, \u201cWell Jackson., my name is Sean and I\u2019m very pleased to meet you. \u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He signs the book, and Jackson squeals, \u201cThank you!\u201d , to which Taylor replies, \u201cThank you for coming out to practice today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was thoroughly impressed with the way Taylor handled the situation. Many players don\u2019t interact with the people they are signing for. They step, sign, step, sign. Sean Taylor took the time to make the moment special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know one, very happy 5 year old who agrees.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sean Taylor: Biography<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20231008213134im_\/http:\/\/www.the-hogs.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/sean-taylor-quote.png\" alt=\"sean taylor quote\" class=\"wp-image-541896\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sean Taylor redefined the prototype for an NFL free safety, combining the quickness of a cover cornerback with the size and power of a strong-side linebacker.
