Deionte Thompson seems like a Redskins pick if he's there.

Wow. Connor McGovern is still on the board. We do need a guard.

And the pick is Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State University

Pretty solid chemistry btw-

"New Redskins WR Terry McLaurin saw a ridiculous 153.3 passer rating when targeted last season - the top mark in the class." Pff

[*][*]Lol ok... Theres 8 more of his !!!

I can't talk you off the ledge bro.

3 rounds. 2 top tier picks and a 3rd rated 9th in position.. All 3 meet BIG needs.

Not sure what there is to bitch about- I guess just to bitch for bitchings sake.
Until proven otherwise I choose to be excited and happy with the picks. This is the wrong part of the season for doom and gloom... And so far we have drafted very well to change that consistent mid season heart ache

If you're ever going to be excited or positive about the Redskins now is the time. Why even be a fan if you can't get excited about the draft?

The more you find out?
Did you watch his film breakdown I linked? Super impressive football iq from a sophmore.

Every draftee is a risk, and he is widely viewed as a higher floor then most. A knock for experience and doesnt have 4.4 speed. Cus Brady, Rodgers, Big Ben, Rivers, and Breezy all run 4.3 40s?

Pukes getting no love for thier medicore draft so far... Love it!

I don't particularly understand how the Cowboys did not take a safety with either pick tonight. They're looking at Jeff Heath starting again.

Little confused with the Connor McGovern pick for Dallas. A little too high for him and they just picked Connor Williams last year.

In completely unrelated but very cool news my two boys just ran into Gerald McCoy and got their picture taken with him.

Just saw an interview with McLaurin. He sounds too intelligent to be a receiver.

Ok. Well I SAW differently. While EVERY highlight reel has wide open passes i also saw- Looking off defenders, going through reads, anticipation, throwing recievers open... Kind of felt Lock only pulled the trigger when they were wide open- as echoed by Carr.

Meyer changed the O from a run first with Zeke to an aerial assualt with DH. His IQ and arm stand out to me... Other attributes are easily learned if you have those two key ingredients.

I think your critique can be applied to any rookie qb or rookie period- welcome to the NFL kids.

Sounds like you are rooting against him before we even see him in action... I cant get with that- except for nyg, fecals, and dullass.. Im already rooting against everyone they drafted!

Not even half of his TDs went to those 2 burners btw...

Kyler had Brown and Lamb to huck it up to... Are we discounting those numbers too? I mean, ya the qb has to throw to someone, can't just throw to himself...

Point is to get a qb, protect him, and surround with weapons ya?

Who says he cant scramble for a first?

If Rosen is so great, why did Az send him packing?

And we "basically" gave a 15th overall pick for Haskins, nothing else. I dont care if anyone changes your mind on him honestly... I just wish the best for the kid and hope he can be the qb we have needed for some time now.
Warren Moon? Whats the comparrison

Here's another positive for getting Haskins at 15, it also answers the reason why Haskins looked a bit dejected during the draft. With every pick he had to deal with millions (8 mil) being lost...

6 Giants Daniel Jones $25.7 million $16.6 million

15 Redskins Dwayne Haskins $14.5 million $8.8 million

I'm just going to leave this here:

If you can look at that and still prefer Rosen over Haskins there's something wrong with your vision.

I cant play the what if game boss.. We didn't trade back into the first round for Haskins, becuase he 100% would have been gone. Since we cant what if in real life, we have to accept that as a strong possibility, and will never know how far he would have dropped.

I'd be extremely satisfied with a Moon or Big Ben for years to come. His football iq will help him transition- that I can be sure of. Maybe Rosen skips the sophmore slump and kills it in Mia- looked like doodoo in Az tho

Don't know where you guys are seeing the Haskins-Moon relation. Totally different playing style and body type.

I'll say it again and I think you'll hear multiple commentators repeat the same thing:

Haskins is the re-encarnation of Doug Williams. Take that as you may.
Great arm, limited mobility, not a short-route quick-read guy.
Moon, by contrast, had an uncanny ability to find the middle route receiver. Magnificent spiral. Huge YAC average.

If Haskins achieves 20% the productivity of Moon during his career, then we're golden.

Now if he has 20% of the productivity of Doug yet he wins a SB then we have a completely different discussion, hehe! :]

Man I can't believe Hakeem Butler is still on the board. I'd grab him if he's still there at our pick.

Yeah, definitely nice to pick up an extra pick after trading our second rounder away, and we had no picks at all in the 4th going into the draft.

Maybe Dwayne Haskins is just his own guy, and we'll all have to see how he does as a professional NFL QB.

Its cool... I see how trying to predict other teams boards can leave some doubt as to where someone will go. A team with an older qb or in need of a backup or take him as trade bait (for a qb needy team)... Its impossible to guage. And further more his "worth" is high first round.. So even to trade back- we get the same results.
Lock was considered more of a project and had less value. We chose between the 2 at the most important position... I think we came out on top man.

You got to be kidding a RB this early? Let's just put Peterson, Guice, Thompson, and Perine on the bench. He also tore his ACL. Is Dan still in the war room? Dan you are a sure enough Putz. Amazing

As Chris Sims said you don't draft for best player available you draft to build a team according to needs. It's not a collection of best players you draft to build a team. He used the Patriots as the example. All he had to say. Washington has many needs not wants. You will not find any best player available on the Patriots the majority of the time. Nothing wrong with BPA if you're in the later rounds.

His philosophy is a mix of bpa and need IMO... Takes the best player that can help the team. If lb is need but there is an interior lineman that can help more then the lbs on the board, go with the player that best helps the team.

I dont think anyone has cracked his philosophy- maybe one of the 3 other guys allowed in his war room

Couldn't agree more. But we drafted a RB which really isn't a need at all. Which is why the Redskins are where they are. Watch them take a DT next. Not even the Redskins would do that. Would they?

Well The Patriots get Stidham. Patriots get a QB they want. They don't dive in on all the hype of the others. Patriots know how to draft. Wonder why they didn't trade up to 15 and get him. Because they know what the hell is going on that's why.

OVERVIEW
Most of the Indiana staff simply calls Wesley Allen Martin "country strong," but one look at his dominance in the trenches and performances in the weight room makes scouts wonder if there might be a red cape and a large "S" on his shirt under his uniform. With 535-pound bench press and a 655-pound squat, perhaps the coaches should see if Martin might have a can of green paint in his locker room that he splashes on to bring a gridiron version of the "Hulk" to the playing field each Saturday.

There's very good reason that Martin has drawn such attention. In 2017, among the 298 major college offensive guards to start at least five games, only the Hoosier and Notre Dame's Quenton Nelson did not allow their quarterback to get sacked. Martin accomplished that feat while being on the field for 569 pass snaps. Nelson only appeared in 352 aerial plays. Martin was also the only offensive lineman to not allow a tackle-for-loss, nor any quarterback pressures, among the sixty-plus starters along the front walls for Big Ten Conference teams.

I dont know. No one does.. There are no facts about it.

He will compete with Case for the #1 role no doubt. The O is getting bolstered and I see him getting the reigns sooner then later- absolutely!

Do I have a crystal ball to see who the week ome starter is? No, you took it! :lowblow:

There's a HUGE difference between sitting behind Brady and coming in with at least a chance to compete from day 1.

Not really when you will not be starting and sitting behind a QB Brady or anyone else like Keenum for instance.

Great pickup at Guard though. Go Hogs!!
